With both Halloween and Thanksgiving getting closer, you might be wondering how to inject your apartment home with some flair. While you could run out and buy a cartload of new decorations for your home, we say that handcrafting your decorations is always more meaningful. Plus, who can beat the low cost of a simple DIY project completed at home?
If you’d like to make your space shine with autumnal style, look no further than this quick and easy Candy Corn Garland DIY project. All you need is a bag of dollar-store candy corn, string, scissors, and a hot glue gun to add festive flair, just in time for Halloween. Check out the simple tutorial below.
• Candy corn
• Hot glue gun
• Cut your string to the length you would like the garland to be. For example, if you want to hang two together, consider making one slightly larger than the other for layering purposes.
• Lay out your string and your candy corn. (This craft is much easier to do if everything is laid out before gluing because hot glue dries quickly.)
• Start gluing! One by one add a dab of hot glue to the yellow section of the candy corn and lay the string on it.
• Let it dry and you're ready to hang your festive garland!
